Biographical details

From Bogotá, she was the sister of Custodio García Rovira, and sister-in-law of María Josefa Piedrahita. She was noted for her enthusiastic support of the independence cause. Her brother, Custodio, was executed by the royalists on 8 August 1816. (Monsalve, 147)
