Biographical details

The youngest daughter of José Martín París and Genoveva Ricaurte from Bogotá. She accompanied her mother into exile when she was sent to Facatativa by Morillo in 1816. Her father was executed by Morillo in 1816. On August 1819 she was among a group of 20 young women from distinguished families presented to Bolívar when he arrived at Bogotá in triumph.
