She and her husband, José María Romero, were exiled from Bogotá to Sesquilé by Morillo in August 1816. (Monsalve, 246)

She was imprisoned in the Cárcel del Divorcio by Morillo on 23 August 1816 awaiting exile. (Monsalve, 247)
