Biographical details

Born in Chascomús, Argentina, on 16 July 1823, she married Juan Cruz Deheza, from Córdoba, in 1839. When the Unitarian revolt against Rosas broke out, she participated from Chascomús, one of the centres of the rebellion. Deheza was imprisoned for his part, but managed to emigrate to Brazil where they both lived for several years. She died in Buenos Aires on 24 November 1905. (Sosa de Newton, 374)
