Biographical details
She was born on 13 August 1799, and married José Ignacio de la Roza, governor of San Juan, on 12 January 1817. He was imprisoned in 1820 by his brother-in-law during the rebellion of the 1º regiment of the Andes. He was sentenced to death, commuted to exile, where he died near to Lima on 13 May 1835. She was elected first president of the Sociedad de Beneficencia, founded in 1858. Sarmiento authorised a pension for her. She died in San Juan in 1877. (Sosa de Newton, 458)
Born in San Juan de la Frontera, Argentina. She married José Ignacio de la Roza on 12 January 1817, when she was 18 and beautiful. Their child, Rausaurio, was baptised on 22 December 1819. She was a founder member of the Sociedad de Beneficencia in 1858 (founded by the government in San Juan?). She was treasurer in 1866, and Consejera in 1868. She died suddenly in 1877.
