Biographical details

From Buenos Aires, she was the daughter of Agustina López de Osornio and León Ortiz de Rosas, the sister of Juan Manuel Rosas, and aunt of Eduarda Mansilla de García. She married Francisco Sanguí on 21 November 1814 and they supported the independence cause. In 1823 she was elected a member of the Sociedad de Beneficencia, but she declined. She and her husband retired from public life during Rosas's rule. Her daughter Andrea married Federico Mitre in 1856, brother of Bartolomé Mitre. (Sosa de Newton, 552)
