Biographical details

Born in Salta on 20 December 1814, daughter of Coronel Apolinario Saravia and Joaquina Plazaola. She established a private school in which she worked for many years. She taught children from the leading families of Salta. A school in the province bears her name. (Sosa de Newton, 584)

She was the cousin of Benigna Saravia.
