Biographical details

The sister of Diego Portales, she married José Ignacio Eyzaguirre in August 1810 when "very young". Their son, José Ignacio Víctor Eyzaguirre was later a friend of Javiera Carrera. Her brother-in-law, Miguel de Eyzaguirre was fiscal of the Real Audiencia, Lima. In October 1822 she wrote a formal letter of contact to Miguel from Santiago de Chile and others to her husband from Santiago de Chile (below). (Vergara Quiroz, 80, 104-105, 230)
