Biographical details

The slave daughter of Felipe Malaver, an officer in the 6th Argentine independence regiment, and sister of Manuel Malaver, a junior officer. She married a corporal in the 6th regiment. In December 1815 she asked the authorities that money paid for her freedom by her family be assigned to her so that she could be "rescued" from slavery. (Blanchard, 9)
