From Buenos Aires, in 1816 she petitioned the courts for pay due to her husband, Ventura Molina, a freed slave who had been sold to the Veterans Battalion. He had been wounded at Montevideo and was suffering from ill health and died shortly afterwards. (Blanchard, 9-10)
