Biographical details

She was probably a slave and was living in Buenos Aires in 1818. She petitioned the courts for the release of her husband, Silvestre González who had been fighting for the independence troops, but had been arrested. Nuñez asked for his release on the basis that she was an invalid and he was her only means of support. (Blanchard, 10)
