Biographical details

She was shot in Palmira, Colombia, in 1817 for her part in the independence struggles. (Hincapie Borda, 155)

With her female slave, Castro helped republican Sergeant Major, Pedro Murgueítio, rally men, arms and horses. She was executed by Francisco Warleta. (Monsalve, 183)
