Biographical details

She was shot in Puente Real, Colombia, in 1818 for her part in the independence struggles. (Hincapié Borda, 155)

A campesina who had participated in the independence struggles from 1816, she was executed in 1818 in Puente Nacional after she refused to divulge the names of a group of patriots to the royalist officials. (P. Forero, 46)
