She was shot in Socorro, Colombia, in 1819 for her part in the independence struggles. (Hincapie Borda, 155)

She was one of the most active collaborators of the wars in La Niebla and Los Santos. She was shot on 2 December 1818 in the plaza mayor, Socorro. She was aged 23. (P. Forero, 45)
