Biographical details

She ran a hostel on calle Guadalupe, Lima, that was a centre of meetings for officials and soldiers. Ideas of independence and hatred of the Spanish government were discussed. The royalist soldiers of Numancia battalion ate here and several women persuaded them to defect to the independence cause. (Neuhaus Rizo, 120-121.)

Together with fellow limeñas Brigida Silva and Rosa Campusano, she spread libertanian ideas throughout Lima and the provinces. (Balta, 28.)
