Biographical details

A lawyer and Secretary General of the Universidad de Chile, born in 1817. He became Minister of Justice and Education, and was a poet dramatist, historian, novelist. He was a disciple of Andrés Bello.

His work shows influence by Byron. He wrote for El Semanario in 1842 (Chile). (Montes, Orlandi, 71-74)

He died in 1860.
