Biographical details

Born 1 September 1807, Salta, Argentina. She donated her money and jewels to the independence cause. She accompanied her father into exile where she met Evaristo Uriburu y Hoyas. They married on 16 April 1823. San Martín awarded her a medal and sash inscribed with Al patriotismo. She was the mother of José Evaristo Uriburu, (later President) and general Napoleon Uriburu. They were based in Buenos Aires. She died in Buenos Aires on 15 June 1890. (Sosa de Newton, 25)
