Franscisca Arias Cabrera de Larramendi

Biographical details

Born in Buenos Aires, in the 1720s, she moved to Santa Fe after marrying Pedro de Larramendi on 28 July 1746. Her father died in 1755, leaving her substantial lands. In 1778 she donated this land to the church on which Paraná was built. She reserved five plots for herself and her children. Today a street in Entre Ríos bears her name. (Sosa de Newton, 39)
