Biographical details

Born in 1767 on Buenos Aires, she married Gaspar de Santa Coloma. Their house in Calle Florida was renowned for its recitals and luxurious salones. She acted on politics and her opinion was sought. She refused Rivadavia's offer to join the Sociedad de Beneficencia, designating her niece, María del Rosario Azcuénaga instead. She died in Buenos Aires on 21 June 1850. (Sosa de Newton, 47)
