Biographical details

She was born in Salta in 1807. She married a university lecturer, Francisco Villarino (born 1808). She was an intelligent woman who used innovations in her teaching. From 1850-1870 she ran a school in Santiago de Chile. Her daughters dedicated a college of learning to her in Valparaíso. She died in Valparaíso on 13 August 1870. (Sosa de Newton, 108)
