Biographical details

She was born in Chile, on 24 June 1805. She married General Félix de Olazábal on 12 April 1819, who she met when he arrived with San Martín's army. He was captivated by her beauty and patriotism. They went to Peru for nine years, then returned to Buenos Aires. He fought against Brazil, and they went into exile in Montevideo to escape persecution from Rosas. They returned to Buenos Aires and were given a pension in 1856. She died in Buenos Aires on 15 July 1879. (Sosa de Newton, 111-112)
