Born in La Rioja, Argentina in 1798, she married Facundo Quiroga in 1817. They had five children. Lucio V Mansilla described her as a "señora llena de seducciones por su hermosura, por su gracia, por su amabilidad y que, a los sesenta años, todavía conservaba la belleza como para inspirar una pasión".
