From Cajamarca, she married patriot General Egúsquiza y Gálvez. Sister of María Manuela Egusquiza de Gálvez. She was highly cultured, writing prose and poems, and gifted in music, singing and playing the harp. She accompanied her husband on his campaigns saying "la mujer debe seguir a su marido a todas partes, y la esposa de un patriota, no tiene otro hogar que el campo de batalla".
