Gual-España revoltBiography:
From La Guaira, Venezuela, she was possibly the daughter of Joaquina España, but Monsalve claims she was more likely to have been a freed slave. In 1799 she was sentenced to 4 years in prison for her part in the Gual-España revolt. On her release she was made to serve in a house in Victoria and never allowed to return to La Guaira and Caracas. (Monsalve, 20)
