From Mexico, she is said to have befriended soldiers at a pulquería, and persuaded them to desert to the rebel cause in return they would be given land in independent Mexico (Arrom, 32-33).
She persuaded several royalists to transfer to Zitácuaro. She was denounced and convicted of having recruited insurgents. She was sentenced to death and executed on 7 December 1811. (Miquel i Vergés, 109-110)
