From a honourable, respected family in Valencia, Venezuela, she was renowned for her beauty, high morals and piety. She risked her life, and saved many others, by going onto the battlefield at Valencia to give water to the wounded patriots. She was killed on 3 April 1814. (Monsalve, 59, 61)
