Born in Córdoba, the sister of Dalmacio Vélez Sarsfield. She moved to Buenos Aires where she joined the Sociedad de Beneficencia in 1830. She worked in schools and looked after orphans. She was a Federalist during Rosas's rule. She died in Buenos Aires in her 80s. (Sosa de Newton, 663)
