She was born in Santa Fe, 24 October 1753, a descendent of the Vera and Aragón families, daughter of General Francisco Antonio de Vera y Muxica and Juana López Pintado. She married Joaquín del Pino, governor of Montevideo, in 1783. They lived in Montevideo with del Pino's six children from a previous marriage. They had another 9 of their own; their daughter Juana married Bernadino Rivadavia. She nonetheless managed to do much charity work with the poor and was renowned for her care of the people. In 1801 del Pino became Viceroy of Río de la Plata. He died in 1805 and she on 1 July 1810. (Sosa de Newton, 664)
