She was born in Catamarca in the 18th century. She and her two sisters founded the first school for girls in Catamarca. It opened on 15 October 1809 with a group of 16 girls. Orphaned girls were cared for there. Her two sisters died before it opened, but she worked there for several years. (Sosa de Newton, 674)
