She was a rich woman who set fire to her hacienda to prevent the royalists from taking its resources. She gave refuge to Pedro Moreno and Francisco Javier Mina who were fleeing the royalists. She was described as "benemérita ciudadana" in the Pensador Mexicano. (Carrera Stampa, 1)
She was probably from Guanajuato. She and her brother burned their hacienda to prevent the royalists from using its produce to help their war effort. In 1817 she assisted Francisco Javier Mina's expedition. She fled into the mountains when Mina and her brother were imprisoned. (Miquel i Vergés, 274)
She set fire to her hacienda to prevent the royalists from using its provisions. She was then robbed and insulted and had to live cold and hungry in the woods. (González Obregón, 160)
She appeared before the Comisario de Querétaro in 1809, giving her age as 41. (González Obregón, 177-178)
