He was born in Lima in 1788. A musician and composer who assisted in the Independence campaign. He lived in Chile for a time. He attended Manuela Ravago y Avella Fuertes de Riglos’s salon, where he is said to have written the National Anthem in 1821. He died in 1878. (de Valle, 16.)
