An aristocratic woman who participated in the independence activities of 20 July 1810. (Knaster, 482.)
She was among a group of women who marched to the Viceroy's palace, Bogotá, on 20 July 1810. (Monsalve, 84, 85)
A staunch supporter of the independence cause she married Antonio Bailly in 1812, a good friend of Nariño. Bailly was assassinated in 1813 by his slave. (Monsalve, 87)
She and her family were exiled to Tabio in August 1816 and were probably held in the Cárcel Chiquito beforehand. (Monsalve, 156,159)
