Biography:
She was shot in Sogamoso, Colombia, in 1818 for her part in the independence struggles. (Hincapie Borda, 155)

She worked as a seamstress in Sogomoso making women's clothes, but she and a group of women used this as a cover to make uniforms for the patriots. Teresa Izquierda was among this group. They were discovered and the two were imprisoned in July 1819. Neira was executed on 18 January 1820. (P. Forero, 160)
