The son of Andrés Bello and Isabel Antonia Dunn, and half-brother of Carlos Bello, he was born in England in 1825. He became a journalist, orator and literary critic who contributed to El Semanario Literario. He translated Romantic dramas. He died in 1860. (Coester, 199-200)
