A Coronel de Milicias and Alcalde ordinario, Lima and contador Mayor in the Tribunal de Cuentas de Lima. He was later Brigadier and Presidente de la Aud. de Chacas. He subscribed and contributed to El Mercurio Peruano, 1791-1793, and the Diario de Lima. He was the brother-in-law of Agustín Carrillo de Albornez y Salazar (also his cousin). (Clément, 107)
