Rector of San Marcos University, Lima (1791-93). He was a curate and theological canon. His house was used for literary meetings. His brother Domingo was Oidor de Lima and charged by Viceroy Amat with the expulsion of the Jesuits in 1767. He subscribed to El Mercurio Peruano from 1791-1793. (Clément, 120)
