The wife of Diego de Aliaga y Santa Cruz (2nd Count of San Juan de Lurigancho), from Peru, she used her home for the Independence movement. She and others opened a factory to make military uniforms and kept food and warm clothes for the troops. San Martín often stayed in her house (Balta, 24).
