Biography:
Born in Lima, she married José Manuel de Tagle e Izázga. She read Latin, French and Italian and liked to read modern authors. She opened a literary salon. Olavide, el Conde de Vista Florida and those who formed Viceroy Conde de Lemos's circle met there. She played the harp and sang beautifully. She put aside part of her wealth to helped young people who lacked a fortune and who didn't have the means to follow a profession. Years later, in 1816, the Viceroy chose her eldest son to represent him at the Spanish court. (García y García, 195-196)
