Biography:
She was born in Mendoza on 4 July 1803, Mendoza. Her father gave unlimited support to San Martín during his organization of the Army of the Andes.
On 5 January 1817 she, along with Remedios de Escalada, Mercedes Alvarez de Segura, Margarita Corvalán, and Dolores Prats de Huisi sewed the Bandera de los Andes. She was the main contributor. She married Manuel de Olazábal, a colonel in the independence army, on 3 August 1819. She accompanied him on his campaigns and during his exiles. She died in Buenos Aires on 6 September 1870. She was born on 4 July 1803, the daughter of Joaquín Ferrari and María del Rosario Salomón. Joaquín Ferrari was greatly respected by San Martín. She married Manuel de Olazábal, colonel in the independence army, in 1819. San Martín was patrino and later compadre to their oldest child. She helped to make the flag of the Andes and decorated its borders with sequins. She and their many children accompanied her husband on his campigns and into exile. She died in Buenos Aires on 6 September 1870. (Carranza, 140-142)
