Her account of a flood in July 1783 that flooded the San Rafael Convent. The nuns' cells were flooded, but all managed to escape. Includes explanatory notes on the text, and is preceded by a discussion of the poem and possible influences on Sor Tadea.

Combaten mi corazón,

Nueva palestra de penas,
De martirio teatro nuevo,
Al relacionar el caso
Más lastimoso y más tierno
Que en el asunto menciona
¡En sus anales del tiempo!
Mas, debiendo obedecer,
