GEP Fellow Holger Breinlich is a co-investigator on the ESRC-funded Research Grant “Aggregation in Gravity-Based Estimation: Theory, Evidence and Policy Implications” led by Dr Dennis Novy (Warwick). The research carried out for this grant will look at aggregation issues in the estimation of gravity equations, derive appropriate estimation techniques for different types of trade data and investigate implications for existing empirical results on the effects of free trade agreement. The total amount of the grant is £ 291,681 for a duration of 36 months.
