TOULOUSE SPACE SHOW:
2ND EDITION IN 2010 OF THE INTERNATIONAL EVENT DEVOTED TO THE APPLICATIONS OF SPACE TECHNOLOGIES
From 8 to 11 June 2010, Toulouse will be hosting the Toulouse Space Show at the Pierre Baudis Convention Centre. The Midi-Pyrénées region will once again be a global meeting point for stakeholders in space applications: major groups, SMEs, research centres for the space sector and its applications, not to mention users (land surveyors, urban planners, farmers, doctors, archaeologists, etc.). CNES and Midi-Pyrénées Expansion, the Midi-Pyrénées regional development agency, are joint organisers of this event and are being actively supported by the Midi-Pyrénées Regional Council, the Haute-Garonne General Council, the Greater Toulouse Urban Community, the Sicoval urban community, the Toulouse Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and many other players in the space field. The first edition brought together 1500 delegates from 40 countries.
The 2010 edition of the Toulouse Space Show will be centred around several key events:
SPACE APPLI – 3rd International Space Applications Conference.
TECHNO DIS – 2nd Conference on Disruptive Technologies in Space Activities.
SPACE ECO – Space and Economy Symposium: “What is the outlook for the space sector in 2010?”
NEREUS Workshop - the Network of European Regions Using Space technologies.
Calls for papers for these 4 conferences are open until 2 November 2009.
S@TCOM 2010: conference on “The new deal: the complementarity of Earth- and satellite-based telecommunications”. An international exhibition combined with business meetings. In 2008, the exhibition brought together 102 exhibitors from 14 countries and 800 visitors, and enabled 1500 business meetings to be organised between buyers and sellers. Associated technical events and events aimed at the general public, students and young people, intended to promote the contribution made by space applications to society, will be organised in parallel throughout the week.
