‘Understanding FGM’ (Female genital mutilation) is a new RLO developed by the HELM team in conjunction with the Mojatu Foundation. The resource was developed following workshops with survivors of FGM, where brave women shared their experiences through drawing, clay modelling and poems. The narrative of the resource was guided by academic experts; Julie McGarry, Kathryn Hinsliff-Smith, Natasha Recchia & Catrin Evans. The resource is released in memory of Valentine Nkoyo, Director of the Mojatu Foundation.
