Any kind of advice on a situation you may need help with! This could be friendship issues, mental health concerns, communal living challenges, advice on how to contact academic teams or just someone to have a friendly chat with. The Residential Experience Team can signpost into university professional services which includes the Counselling Team.

The university does not require applicants to declare criminal convictions. However, it is required if applicants wish to stay in university owned or managed accommodation. Any declaration of a criminal conviction will not form part of the initial academic assessment of the application. Please contact the Student Recruitment Support Hub if you have declared a criminal conviction accidentally when applying through UCAS.

If you will be under the age of 18 when you register and begin your course with the university, your parents or legal guardian must complete an under 18 consent form. The university is not able to take on the usual rights, responsibilities and authority that parents have in relation to a child, and it will not act in loco parentis in relation to students who are under the age of 18 years. We must receive consent from the student's parents or legal guardians, to acknowledge their acceptance of the policies and arrangements set out in this webpage. This is a condition of admission to the university for all students who will be under 18 years of age at the time of registration.

All unsuccessful applicants will receive feedback on their application record, which provides the specific reason for the application outcome. Due to the large volumes of applications received, we are unable to provide more detailed feedback in addition to this.

This depends on the individual course, as some courses will offer transfers from related courses, whereas some won't allow transfers of any kind due to the structure/requirements of the course. However, it is often the case that you can make an application through UCAS to apply to start in Year 1 (should you meet the entry requirements).
