Description

Why do horses get colic?

Colic is the most common emergency problem in the horse, and a major cause of disease and death in the horse. Professor Sarah Freeman (School of Veterinary Medicine and Science) will explore the unique physiology and anatomy of the horse, looking at how and why things go wrong, and how horse owners and vets can work together to prevent and deal with problems.

Followed by Professor Jon Huxley's 'Cash cow or sacred cow? The milk production debate'
