Link’18 is the fourth edition of University of Nottingham and University of Nottingham Students’ Union’s student- led interdisciplinary research conference.
Its goal is to empower postgraduate students to share and celebrate their research in a positive, constructive and, collaborative space, and to facilitate the development of interdisciplinary connections and networks.
Public engagement and interest is vital to create funding opportunities in research, and this event provides the opportunity to showcase the world class research carried out at the University of Nottingham.
It also provides a useful platform, via Q&As and interactive debates between panels, to practice the crucial but difficult skill of explaining your academic work to a non-expert audience.
Link’18 is also useful for its collaboration potential. Ground-breaking research is interdisciplinary, and happens through teamwork; we want to enable conversations and connections that might not happen through day-to-day academic activity.
Abstracts are currently being welcomed for this event. You can submit an abstract for a poster or presentation on any of the University’s 9 research themes, no matter what stage of your research you are at, or your topic. Abstracts should be maximum 250 words.
