The Human Rights Law Centre is delighted to invite you to our upcoming Annual Human Rights Lecture taking place at 6:15pm on Tuesday, 31 October 2023. This year's lecture will be delivered by Professor Michael O'Flaherty, Director of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) and is entitled, 'Healing our broken societies: Tackling the scourge of racism'.
Professor O'Flaherty will discuss the extent and diverse forms of racism in our societies, as well as the related human rights abuses brought about by pervasive and relentless racism. He will draw upon his experience and the work of the FRA to suggest potential avenues and initiatives for combating the racism that is so deeply ingrained on the European continent.
This event will be held in the LASS Building, Room B63. For those unable to attend in person, the event will also be available to attend via MS Teams.
Register for this event.
The lecture will be followed by a Q&A/discussion and a Drinks Reception.
All welcome.
