The HRLC will be hosting the final screening of the 2023/24 Human Rights Film Series on Thursday, 16 May at 17:00 (BST).
Join us in the Hallward Library Screening Room (LG140) where we will be celebrating Palestinian cinema by screening the film ‘When I Saw You’ by the award winning director Annemarie Jacir, a poignant drama set in the 1960s exploring the intertwined trauma of a child refugee experiencing the loss of their father and the uncertainty of statelessness.
This screening will be followed by a discussion on the child rights issues that are depicted in the film, led by Ralph Sandland, Professor of Law and Difference at the University of Nottingham.
For those interested in attending, we kindly ask that you register.
This screening is only open to students and staff at the University of Nottingham.
