HRLC and Jurist News Collaborate to Highlight Key Legal Issues

The Human Rights Law Centre is delighted to continue its collaboration with Jurist News to provide legal analysis and commentary on pressing global issues. This ongoing partnership, now in its third year, offers students and staff at the University of Nottingham, a platform to contribute to the global legal discourse on critical legislative developments and their broader impacts. Thus far, in 2025, this collaboration has produced two articles, showcasing the work and expertise of students at the University of Nottingham School of Law.

LLM student, Surya Vudathu, has produced an insightful commentary on the EU Digital Services Act, examining its role in advancing the rule of law online and its enforcement mechanisms. Further, through her explainer on the Commercial Organisations and Public Authorities Duty (Human Rights and Environment) Bill, LLM Student, Giuliana Himont has provided an in-depth analysis of the Bill's progress and potential impact.

Many thanks to HRLC members Javier Eskauriatza (Assistant Professor of Criminal Law) and Shree Agnihotri (Teaching Associate) for facilitating this partnership.
