13:00 - 16:00

Great Hall, Trent Building, University Park Campus (Building 11 on the Campus Map)

This afternoon workshop will discuss the different stages of journal publishing and what you need to consider along the way.

Come and join a workshop led by Kate Smith (Co-Editor, Transactions of the Royal Historical Society) and Matthew Hefferan (UK Editorial Board Member, Transactions of the Royal Historical Society). During the afternoon we will discuss the different stages of the journal publishing process, from writing the article to submission to a journal, and from peer review to revise, resubmit, acceptance and publication. We will talk through how each stage works and how you should prepare your work for the different elements of the process. There will also be lots of time for questions and answers so that you can find out more about those parts of the process you are unsure of.

Light refreshments will be served mid-way through the afternoon. The event is kindly sponsored by the Royal Historical Society.

There are 40 places on the workshop. Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis so please ensure you register by clicking here if you would like to attend.
